Awesome!!! I had a look at the progress pics of this and it blows my mind.
i'd love to own one of these.
I've also been trying some headgear looks for my OC i've been playing around with, and this suits what I want perfectly, but in a nice sapphire blue. :)

This crown is divine!
At times I say myself, that some day I'll try to work not only with textiles, but also with leather.
Your works inspire me for this)

Quit the compliment! Thank you. Your sewing is so professional. I think you would like leatherwork. I really enjoyed making the dragoness corset and hope to do more corsets. I like to look at fabric versions of things and try to adopt a design or technique into leather. Your work is incredible.

Thank you. :) This is 6-7 oz leather so it is a little easier to bend than the 9 oz that I use on most of the other armor pieces. I think the combination of tooling, wetmolding and airbrushing result in a really detailed effect.

lol glad I'm not the only person to give my mannequin a name. XD

Man but that is cool! I'm still amazed at how you can make the bone/horn protrusions look so convincingly like bone. Amazing what a little gradation will do. I so need an airbrush. :(

LOL. Yeah, the previous owner named him. My wife named the female mannequin - Bon Qui Qui after a comedians character.

You would do wonders with an airbrush but you also do wonders without it. Sometimes I think I should do more hand painting to give my work a more personal touch.

Wow that's awesome. Hey where did you get your manikin at? And also do you know someone who could answer some questions I have about expansions and contractions in scalemail?

I scored the mannequinn (Joe) off craigs list and picked it up locally. My other Mannequinn I ordered from Roxy disply at this link: [link]

Metal maniac may be able to answer some of your scalemail questions. He's a real nice guy too.

Wow thanks a lot that is very helpful I am going to need a mannequinn to hold my armor when I am done. And I will check out metal maniac and see if he can help me. There is just no one around here hardly that does scalemail and leather so I kind of have to ask you all for help.

I want to do some scalemail myself. The ring lord is a good reference. They sell the rings, scales etc... and have tut on their site also. Best of luck and make sure you post your projects so I get to see. lol

I will eventually do some staempunk. I am currently collecting brass bits and pieces. It may be a while though. When I do it, I want to do it on a grand scale. Maybe a full set of steampunk armor. :)
