Dragoness greaves Action Shot - First test drive with the first completed greave. No casualties. Here it can be seen how the speed lacers work. Rear spike and the spur claw can be seen as well. The design does not inhibit movement at all.

Awesome man I would not want to be kicked by her especially if those spike were steal. Very detailed the laces on the side give it a nice touch.

Thank you. They are non-lethal but they still hurt. I appreciate it. They were a lot of work. :)

Aww, thanks. I appreciate it. The pictures just don't do them justice. The greaves were a lot more work than I thought they would be but worth it. Glad you like them.:)

They look great, as always. How many pieces of leather are in each of those greaves? I saw the shot of your workbench where you had all of them laid out, and you mentioned you used almost an entire double shoulder.

Also, I'm just curious about how you tool your scales. Do you have a tool that forms the scale in one impression, like a mulefoot tool or something like that? I did mine by individually beveling the sides of each scale, but yours have a more regular appearance. (I'm sure I would have went nuts if I had tried to make something bigger than a helm using my method.)

OMG! I used so much leather on those greaves. There are 13 pieces on each greave for a total of 26.

You are correct, I use a large mulefoot for most of the scaling and a small mulefoot for the fingers and toes. I am amazed that you were able to tool each scale with a beveler.. That is a lot of work. I applaud your effort.
